This is great. I love the action pose, the facial expression, the looming wing in the foreground which almost acts as a shield to help focus your gaze on Pegasus and his long brushed and conditioned locks of hair from his windblown tail and mane. I particularly like the way you drew the mouth and the eyes and the tail keep grabbing my attention. Very nice job w/ the tail. Also, there's no question this horse is vexed. You definitely succeeded in showing that in the brow, even though the lines and shading are fairly subtle. The only thing that could be altered is the midsection. His chest sort of molds into his waist, where you could show the twisting of the abdomen a little more. Also, I'll mention the knees and upperlegs are a little odd (even for a horse), which you might want to look at if you end up drawing this type of creature again.

Yeah, see, I went to school for animation, so I often would think about things in motion.

The trouble was that for a "still" sometimes stuff in motion doesn't make for a good composition. If you've ever seen still images of animation, the in-between photos will look weird if they were just presented as a still, but when put together, they move.

It was something I realized when I was reading books about how to draw comics, and they pointed this out all the time!

I worked at "Top Cow" (Image Comics) afew years ago.
